Eligibility / Qualification for CSIR UGC NET

  • Candidates should have possess M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B. Tech/B. Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR)/ General-EWS and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.

Ans.    CSIR UGC NET is a national-level exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to shortlist candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or lectureship in Indian universities and colleges.

Ans.    The biggest difference between these exams is that CSIR NET is organized only for science stream students in five subjects where as UGC NET is conducted in approx. 100 subject.
